Private Thoughts Public Moments stems from collaboration between AGO and The Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants OCASI. In 1998 a subcommittee from the two organizations met to develop programming initiatives for the AGO. The resulting initiative was the Artist in Residence Program sponsored by SAVAC. Designed to establish a mentoring relationship between a recognized international artist and local artists, This program explores issues of social identity and accessibility in the context of the museum.

The nstallation refers to the established conventions of drawing and painting the female nude. A sound track is activated by lifting the protective curtain that covers J. W. Forster's drawing corrected by Mr. Bouguereau 1882.
